At the center of everything we do is a strong commitment to independent research and sharing its profitable discoveries with investors. This dedication to giving investors a trading advantage led to the creation of our proven Zacks Rank stock-rating system. Since 1988 it has more than doubled the S&P 500 with an average gain of +24.30% per year. These returns cover a period from January 1, 1988 through December 30, 2024. Zacks Rank stock-rating system returns are computed monthly based on the beginning of the month and end of the month Zacks Rank stock prices plus any dividends received during that particular month. A simple, equally-weighted average return of all Zacks Rank stocks is calculated to determine the monthly return. The monthly returns are then compounded to arrive at the annual return. Only Zacks Rank stocks included in Zacks hypothetical portfolios at the beginning of each month are included in the return calculations. Zacks Ranks stocks can, and often do, change throughout the month. Certain Zacks Rank stocks for which no month-end price was available, pricing information was not collected, or for certain other reasons have been excluded from these return calculations.

About
Tracey Ryniec is a Zacks Stock Strategist. She manages the Insider Trader and Value Investor services.
Prior to joining Zacks, she litigated complex securities and insurance cases representing tech titans and Fortune 100 companies in San Francisco and Silicon Valley at the law firms of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison -now defunct, a victim of the dot-com bust- and Cooley LLP.
Having lived in the Bay Area during the dot-com boom, Tracey quickly realized she was more interested in stocks and the stock market, then in actually litigating her cases and she made a career changing move.
She can now be happily found covering value stocks for Zacks.com in Chicago, in addition to running her trading service portfolios. She has appeared in Barrons, CNBC.com, and Marketwatch.
Tracey graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in history. She attended Princeton University where she studied in the Near Eastern Studies department before graduating with a Masters in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago.
Armed with her advanced degree, she worked at the National Security Archive in Washington DC, on issues regarding the first Persian Gulf War. Tracey also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
You can follow her tweets on her favorite obsessions which currently include the housing market, China and the emerging markets, and great stock finds at @TraceyRyniec.
